Meet Dr. Tirupathur

A native of Edison, New Jersey, Dr. Tirupathur began pursuing her interest in animal care at an early age. During high school, she volunteered in the cattery at her local animal shelter and participated in her school’s reptile and exotic animal club.

She attended the Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, where she earned a degree in Animal Science with a specialization in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Research. She graduated magna cum laude and was recognized as a George H. Cook Honors Scholar.

While at Rutgers, Dr. Tirupathur continued gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals. She participated in livestock showing during Rutgers Day and worked as a kennel assistant at a local animal hospital.

Dr. Tirupathur earned her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in 2023. Her final-year research project received a Merit award, and she is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Tirupathur enjoys trying new recipes, drawing, playing tabletop games with friends, hiking, swimming, and traveling.
