Dr. Jacob Froehlich

Dr. Jacob Froehlich graduated Summa Cum Laude at North Dakota State University studying Vertebrate Zoology in 2009. He went onto veterinary school at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts and was awarded the Small Animal Surgery Award, ACVIM Large Animal Internal Medicine Award, among others.

Dr. Froehlich has experience in both small and large animal Internal medicine (especially Ruminant Neonatology), small animal emergency care, large animal primary care, exotic mammal, and reptile medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians. He has been with Cape Veterinary Hospital since August, 2022.

 

His favorite part of being a vet is strengthening the human-animal bond through evidence-based medicine and client communication! In his free time, he enjoys Dog, Cat, and Livestock shows, Star Wars AND Star Trek, Yellowstone, and Fine Dining. He loves to spend time at home aka “Dumstark” with his pets, a German Shepherd: Hismerh Hieronymus of the Hudson “Larry Harry Bronx”, an Akita: Zuko Hokkaido Tokyo, his Doberman Pinscher: Pluto Tuvok Dunkirk, his Domestic Shorthair cats: Alien Andromeda, Alexai Poseidon, and Amunet Satis, and Alpha Tango Xavier, a Havanah Brown cat: Ch Four Pawhouse Jade’s Aurora of Xocol, DM and Aplha Tango Xavier, Katahdin Rams: Karl Jackson Tiberius, and his newest additions Elegant Acres Peter Parker “Parker”, an Alpine Buck, and Rancho Bizarro Mudd Masacchio, "Masch" a Lamancha buck.
